Possible meet and greet

Post by barterking85 on Thu Feb 09, 2012 8:47 pm

Wondering if people would like a get together something on Sunday so lots of members would be great with name tags with our log in names lol I just think it would be fun and I am trying to get into saltwater but I would like to meet some member with successful established setups

Let's see if there is any interest for march????

I might be up for it. Depends on where we'd be meeting up and what I am up to at that point.

One meeting was held at Crazy4Bettas in Milford (I think) and one was held at my place in Clayton Park (Halifax).

I am not sure about any others.

Alright would anyone from Halifax be willing to see how much it would be to rent a fire hall or community center for a few hours? If its not outrageous I can cover it???

I live in new Glasgow so hopefully someone who knows hali better can find out

I can get a room at Dalhousie University in the Life Sciences Center if that is a viable option. It is free.

Depends on which night/day the meet & greet takes place, H2ohNo and I can attend.
If it's decided that tacons is hosting a meet & greet, we should set up a "ride share" list, especially if the buses are still on strike.

A friend of mine owns Jungle Jim's bayers lake and he's also a fellow fish keeper. He said he'd give us a 10% discount and no charge for meeting at the restaurant if that helps?

We could have one then too. I could have people at our place after we transfer upstairs. :D

Same here it depends on the day and time...and I would need a drive too.

My friend Is still happy for us to do this. I'd need to get a rough idea of how many we're interested and when and I can start getting things sorted. Doesn't have to be a huge get together for the 1st one but the more the merrier :)

I'd love to join in too - just need to know a date and hopefully it doesn't conflict with any other meetings, hockey games etc...
