I bought a 50 gallon tank 2 years ago and just geared it up a few weeks ago as a freshwater tank. I currently only have 3 angel fish but would like to expand. I was interested in a few fish which were available for purchase on liveaquaria.com however, I discovered they do not ship to Canada so I'll have to make a trip to Halifax to take a look in aqua creations.

I had a list prepared for checkout on the site that I mentioned which included: blue cobra guppies, red fire guppies, lemon cobra guppies, hi fin lyretail swordtail, red wag platy, female bettas and black mollies.

Thank you. I hope so too, but I have a feeling my taste is too tropical. They are very nice looking fish and easy to care for which is right up my alley since I'm new. I would have preferred a salt water tank but I have a new baby and that would be too difficult and expensive for me to keep up with at this time. Maybe in the future. So, for now...I'll have to stick with whatever is available in my area.
Does anyone know of any other tropical fish stores in Halifax area besides aqua creations...if there are any? I live in Bridgewater and we only have a Pets Unlimited with virtually no selection whatsoever and a walmart...also limited selection so you can see my dilemma.

Welcome to the forum, there is Ruffins in Bedford and of course Pets unlimited in Bayers Lake and Burnside as well as express PU in Cole Harbour. Outside the city is Skeeters in New Minas, Kameko Aquatics in liverpool. If I missed anyone please chime in. There are links to them on the left side colume and at the bottom of the forum.
